1. Get the equipment

To enter the Yota network, you will need a USB or PC ExpressCard modem that can be purchased from one of our partner stores.

2. Connect the modem to your PC and install the software

It is essential: for software installation purposes that your computer has MS Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Mac OS X 10.5.x or 10.6.x as its operating system.

Plug the device into an appropriate connector on your computer. For USB modem, if you see a Windows invitation to find and install drivers for new device, decline it. For PC Express card, run the CD packaged with the device.

The installation should begin immediately. If the autorun feature on your OS is disabled, you will have to start the process manually. Launch the AutoInstall.exe file from the new disk that your computer will see after you have plugged in the modem.

A dialog box will appear. Choose your language, click «Install» and follow the instructions to install the device driver and«Yota Access program».

3. Enter the Yota network

When installed, Yota Access will start up automatically, detect the Yota network and connect to it.

No network detected? This could mean that your computer is out of the Yota coverage area. To check this, contact Yota Technical Support Service at 8 800 700-55-00, or see the network coverage map.

Once the connection has been established, the «Yota Access» window will look like this:

4. Get registered and activate the modem

Got connected? You should now get registered in SelfCare and activate the device.

You should provide a valid e-mail, mobile phone and passport data.

If you are already registered, sign in with your user ID and password.

If you are not registered, use your connection card provided with the device. Scratch off the coating to reveal the password, and then use it with your Card number to log in to your Personal Account. If you are corporate customer, you don't need connection card.

You should pay for internet before activation.

Note: You will be able to activate the modem only if it is the device you are currently using to access the Internet.

Done! From now on, all you need to do to connect to the Internet is to plug the modem into your computer.
